The story dedicated to the Estonians in Abkhazia concludes Asarkia Studio’s film cycle about the republic’s ethnic communities. Of the 300 families who lived in the village of Estonka before the war, just over 300 people remain in Abkhazia today. Despite the hardships of the postwar years, they chose not to leave the country that had become their home. Among the film’s protagonists is Milva Kaares, who writes fairy tales in the Abkhaz language.
