For its Winter–Spring 2024/2025 exhibition program, SKLAD_ invited active members of Abkhazia’s social life who are not artists and have no formal training in the arts. The aim of the program was to address the lack of curators and cultural workers in the field of contemporary art in Abkhazia and to take a step toward filling this gap.

The program included four participants, each of whom realized their first curatorial project at SKLAD_. Over the course of the year, they developed their projects with the support of individual consultations from the venue’s curators and invited mentors.

The participant list includes Sharizan Shinkuba, Naida Abidova, Leon Logua, and Omar Kharchlaa. Three exhibitions and one photobook became the result of their work in the program.
