The ‘Ecology of the Contemporary City’ block was led by Dmitry Shevchenko, Deputy Coordinator of the Environmental Watch on the North Caucasus, and Tatyana Chestina, head of the public movement EKA, which focuses on environmental education. A working group - selected by the organisers - identified the most pressing environmental issues in Abkhazia and developed proposals for their resolution.
