The first years of SKLAD_ were marked by close collaboration with the Swiss foundation Artasfoundation.

This partnership began with a summer school in Sukhum, which brought together art students from Basel and local artists, resulting in the exhibition Circumstances of Place and Time. It was followed by curatorial research in Switzerland and the exhibition Outdoor Games, and later by a workshop with Augustin Rebetez and the Institute of Visionauts project. The conversations on the need to connect Abkhazia with international cultural networks, initiated together with the foundation’s founder Dagmar Reichert, remain a vital part of SKLAD_’s mission today.
