‘Poetry in the Streets’ was one of the slogans of the 1968 protests. This is how the participants of the ‘Paris Spring’ referred to the numerous agitational posters and graffiti that filled the streets of Paris with rebellious calls: ‘Be realistic - demand the impossible’, ‘It is forbidden to forbid,’ and many others. The events of 1968 led to a change in government and had a profound impact on cultural and social life, becoming a phenomenon on the border between politics and art, life and theatre. As part of two poetry readings, the project ‘Poetry in the Streets’ sought to connect this idea with the local context, transforming the spoken word into a tool for reshaping the world around us.
