‘Political Poetic’ was an evening of civic and social poetry that brought together authors for whom words are not just an aesthetic but tools of expression, resistance and reflection on the present. The poem The Pine of Pitsunda became the symbol of the evening, linking poetic imagery to real political processes in Abkhazia. This event was an attempt to broaden the perception of poetry and give it a voice that goes beyond traditional lyricism.
The event was part of the initiative #nesvobodny_mikrofon (#unfree_microphone) - a series of online streams featuring contemporary poetry without the limitations of censorship.
