Multidisciplinary artist Nika Lakrba works across drawing, painting, ceramics, and collage. Her project I WOULD RATHER BE A STONE originates in a personal love story, where raw emotion and the pain it carried transformed into a longing to become stone—unyielding, detached, and impervious to feeling.

Conceived as a triptych, the exhibition unfolds through animation, painting, and photography. The opening features a performance by Nika Lakrba and Melissa Panfilova, with the participation of Mrana Vouba. In this work, stones merge with Panfilova’s body, becoming an armor that shields the human being from vulnerability and emotion.

In its collection Sounds of Silence, the experimental brand-laboratory 3onda BR&LAB turns to stones and natural artifacts as conduits for meditative states and as vessels of nostalgia for the fleeting present moment in contemporary urban life. Alongside reimagined garments, the exhibition incorporates immersive installation elements that deepen the viewer’s encounter with the Sounds of Silence: a “stone player,” a lookbook printed on artifacts, and a video installation created in collaboration with artificial intelligence.

The exhibition is presented with the support of the Asarkya Foundation.
