An artist talk featuring two artists who will be visiting Sukhum as part of a residency organized by SKLAD_ and the self-organized collective NoNameForNow (CСI Fabrika, Moscow). They will discuss their artistic practice, their work with archives, and local histories.
Anna Salimzyanova is an artist and curator, co-founder of the NoNameForNow collective. In her work, she explores the interaction between the human and the non-human, the natural and the man-made, through site-specific projects and context-based work.
Oksana Vinogradova is an interdisciplinary artist working with local contexts and research-based practices. In her projects, she addresses the unnoticed layers of the everyday environment, capturing what usually goes unnoticed.
The Artist Talk is part of a residency involving artists from Abkhazia and Russia. The residency will culminate in an exhibition at the CСI Fabrika (Moscow).
