Contemporary art fairs are an effective way of shaping the art market, as well as for the economic and cultural development of cities. Such projects not only provide financial support to artists but also help engage a new audience in the practice of collecting.
The cultural platform SKLAD_ brought together Abkhaz artists working with various media to contribute to the development of the local art market. Graphic works were presented by artists Adgur Ampar, Igor Panchenko and Nicole Bartsyts, who also created a series of jewellery made from epoxy resin, ceramics and seashells.
Amra Chichibaya and Apsha Khagba offered paintings for the fair, while Inna Djenia and Tatyana Ergunova contributed editioned photography.
Acting as a commercial agent, the cultural platform SKLAD_ introduced the audience to a new format of interaction with artists- taking on the role of buyer, directly supporting creativity and influencing the cultural economy.
