A two-day workshop by artist Alina Arakelian dedicated to the cyanotype technique.

The first day features an open introductory lecture on the technique. Alina will talk about the history of cyanotype, its use in contemporary art, and show how this printing method works in her own practice. The meeting will conclude with a short demonstration of the process and a conversation with participants.

The second day takes the form of a hands-on workshop. Participants will be invited to create their own cyanotypes using personal objects — things that accompany us every day, are tied to important memories, or help tell something about ourselves. Together we will try to look at objects as a way of speaking about one's own identity and assemble them into compositions that will then become prints.
