Abkhaz artist Arkhip Labakhua dedicated this project to the main characters of Arthur Conan Doyle’s books: Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Seeking to move away from conventional hierarchies, the artist playfully blended multiple forms of art - combining theatre, literature, installation, photography, sculpture and comics.
The playful nature of the exhibition was expressed through a humorous narrative built on literary references, jokes and the artist’s ironic interpretations. By interacting with the mysterious objects, viewers activated the embedded storyline and became an equal participant in the creative process.
