A walk around the Sovmin district is an opportunity to take a closer look at a place many pass by every day without thinking about its past or present. The walk is connected to the work Not empty emptiness: memories of Sovmin by researcher Nicole Bganba, which explores both personal and collective memories tied to the building.We will create a living archive — a collection of individual and shared recollections. The empty space will be filled with stories, photographs, and meaning.

What to expect during the walk:

— an introduction to the project and its aims;
— a discussion of the building’s past, present, and possible future;
— an opportunity to share your own memory of Sovmin;
— creating a photograph together as a physical trace of memory.

At the end of the walk, each participant will be able to print their photo at SKLAD_, cut out an important fragment, and place it into an installation — a large image of Sovmin with memory-windows. You can also write down your thoughts in the collective memory notebook.
