Nicole Bartsyts approaches drawing as an escapist practice that allows her to create imaginary worlds. In this exhibition, viewers entered a mysterious, whimsical universe where characters from pop culture and Soviet cartoons reflected on Nicole’s childhood and coming of age. The project explored the intersection of personal and collective memory, artistic imagination and a past that has already unfolded.
