At the event, Thomas Dworzak - a German photographer known for his documentary coverage of armed conflicts - shared his experiences and his unique connection to the Caucasus, with its complex and rich culture.Throughout much of the 1990s, Thomas Dworzak worked across the former Soviet Union, documenting the First and Second Chechen Wars, conflicts in Karabakh and Abkhazia, and - in the 2000s - the Orange Revolution. He has also photographed conflicts and unrest in Yugoslavia, Kosovo, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Haiti, as well as presidential elections and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in the United States.
