Historian. Graduate of the History and Pedagogy Faculty of the University of Wrocław. Researcher at the History Department of the Dmitry Gulia Abkhazian Institute for Humanitarian Studies (ABIGI). Nikolai Medvensky leads the republican public organisation ‘Abkhazpoisk,’ which is dedicated to commemorating those who died during the War in Abkhazia (1992–1993). His research interests include ethnopolitical conflicts, the history of wars and military art, as well as the study of Caucasian and Polish diasporas abroad.
