Bulat Khalilov — (DIY) ethnographer, journalist, music curator, and co-founder of the label Ored Recordings. The label’s focus lies on traditional and local music of the North Caucasus, as well as decolonial projects engaging with regional musical traditions.

Since 2025, he has been a visiting researcher at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology / European Ethnology, University of Göttingen, Germany.
